FAQs
Is a wrist monitor as accurate as an upper arm monitor?

Wrist blood pressure monitors can provide accurate readings when used correctly — specifically, the wrist must be positioned at heart level during measurement. Upper arm monitors are generally considered the gold standard for clinical accuracy. For consistent, meaningful home monitoring, proper positioning technique is the most important factor. The 3-reading average function in this device helps compensate for positional variation by smoothing single-measurement spikes.

How should I position my wrist for the most accurate reading?

For best results: sit quietly for 5 minutes before measuring, place the monitor on your wrist with the display facing upward, raise your wrist to heart level (rest your arm across your chest or support it on a flat surface at chest height), and keep still with legs uncrossed. Do not talk or move during the measurement. Following these steps and taking 3 averaged readings will give you the most reliable result.

Does it need a smartphone or app to show readings?

No — this monitor operates completely standalone. Readings are displayed directly on the device screen immediately after each measurement. No phone, no Bluetooth pairing, no app account required. Whether a companion app for long-term data logging is available will be confirmed in the final product specification, but the core measurement and display function requires no connected device at all.

How do I use the 3-reading average feature?

Take your first measurement — the device stores it automatically. Wait 1–2 minutes, then take a second measurement. Wait again, then take a third. After the third reading, the device calculates and displays the average of all three automatically. The stored readings and their average will be available on the device display. The full button sequence for accessing the average reading will be detailed in the included user guide.

What size wrist does it fit?

The cuff size range (minimum and maximum wrist circumference in cm) will be confirmed in the final product specification. Most wrist blood pressure monitors fit wrist circumferences of approximately 13.5–21.5cm — the exact range for this device will be listed before purchase. If you have a particularly small or large wrist, check the confirmed cuff size before ordering.

How long does the battery last and how do I charge it?

The device has a built-in rechargeable battery — no disposable batteries to replace. Charging is via USB (port type TBD — likely USB-C or Micro-USB). A low battery indicator on the display will alert you when recharging is needed before a session.
